location proximity to Britomart, stunning views over freight docks, convenient loan umbrella service
A table in the room would be practical for two guests!!! Only one hand towel provided for two guests was inconvenient!!! The cocktails need a bit more creativity and refinement!!!

Staff displayed exceptional dedication even amidst challenging weather conditions, providing a welcoming atmosphere. The room had a fantastic view and was perfectly functional, while the bar and lounge were among the finest in the city. However, parking can be tricky, particularly for first-time drivers, and the pricing felt steep compared to nearby accommodations. While the location is undeniably central, the overall value relative to similar hotels remains uncertain.

The Hotel Britomart impressed me right from the start. Staff greeted me warmly in their olive green jackets. Check-in went smoothly without any hassle. They knew the local area well and gave some great suggestions. The deluxe room was well-appointed with a lovely handwritten welcome card and a free bottle of Pinot Noir waiting for me. That thoughtful touch added a personal feel. The location is superb, especially being so close to ferry terminals. it’s perfect for exploring Waiheke Island. On a downside, the standard rooms seemed a bit smaller than expected for the price. I had trouble finding a social space since the library was often closed or booked for private events. Also, the hot water in the bathroom took a little while to come through, which felt wasteful. While the beds were comfortable, my overall value perception was on the lower side compared to other hotels in the area. Despite this, the stay was pleasant and memorable due to the friendly service and excellent location.

I spent 5 nights in the King Room, Galway, and the cozy decor made it feel like home. The nightly live jazz and the rooftop terrace were great spots to unwind after a long day. The only downside was the lack of a desk and chair for working, but overall, I enjoyed my stay. 😌

Couple looking for a nice stay
So, we got this room with a view of the water! Nothing like waking up and seeing that beautiful sight right from the window. The staff were super friendly too, they made us feel like we were the only guests. A hand written welcome card? I mean, c'mon, you don’t see that these days. That's real class.
Now, it wasn’t exactly pocket change, but acceptable considering the experience.
